Meet Hanna Swords
Clinical Social Work / Therapist
Hello, I’m Hanna Swords, LMSW, a Licensed Master Social Worker based in Downtown Muskegon. I provide professional counseling services to adults (18+) and couples, supporting you as you navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful change.
I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Master’s in Social Work, and my background spans case management, direct care, and diverse areas of social work. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups to foster growth and resilience.
My passion lies in helping people improve emotional management skills, strengthen relationships, and achieve personal goals within a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment.
Are you facing current challenges, healing from past pain, or preparing for what lies ahead? Therapy can be transformative. Together, we will:
★ Explore your personal history
★ Understand your current situation
★ Leverage your inner strengths to create change
I believe you possess deep insights into yourself. My role is to help you access and apply these insights as you work toward your full potential.
I specialize in working with adults and couples who are experiencing:\
★ Trauma and PTSD (non-military)
★ Stress and anxiety
★ Emotional difficulties
★ Relationship challenges, including communication and conflict resolution
My therapy approach is relational and collaborative, integrating:
★ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thoughts and behaviors
★ Person-Centered Therapy to honor your autonomy and strengths
★ Motivational Interviewing to build readiness for change
★ Gottman Level 1& 2 interventions to support couples in improving connection and overcoming challenges
It is my privilege to walk alongside you in this season of your life. If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and thriving, I invite you to reach out today for a free 15-minute consultation to find out if I'm the right fit for you!
