Meet Hanna Swords
Clinical Social Work / Therapist
I'm Hanna Swords, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a Master’s in Social Work. I offer counseling services to adults aged 18 and older.
My background includes experience in case management, direct care, and various areas within social work, where I've worked with individuals, families, and groups. I have a particular focus on helping people improve their emotional management skills. My aim is to support you in achieving your personal goals. I strive to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your potential in navigating life's complexities.
Are you currently facing a challenge, healing from a past difficulty, or preparing for what’s ahead? Your response to adversity can be transformative! In our work together, we'll employ innovative strategies to explore your history, address your current situation, and leverage your strengths. I believe that you possess profound insights into yourself, and I am here to help you access and apply those insights as you strive to live to your full potential. It is my privilege and responsibility to collaborate with you on this journey, guiding you toward thriving. My specialization includes working with adults (18+) who are dealing with trauma (including non-military PTSD), stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, and relationship challenges.
In my practice, I use a relational approach, primarily incorporating cognitive behavioral strategies. Additionally, I utilize person-centered approaches and motivational interviewing techniques. I am also trained in Gottman Level 1 methods for couples interventions.
I would be honored to support you through life's challenges.
